Governor Otti Visits Ariaria, Urges Cooperation with Security Agencies and Reopening of Shops
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, visited the troubled Ariaria International Market on Thursday to address the ongoing unrest following the killing of two policemen near the market by unidentified gunmen on Tuesday.
In his visit, Governor Otti expressed condolences to the Nigeria Police authorities and the families of the deceased policemen. He called for an immediate end to hostilities and reprisals, urging the traders to cooperate fully with the security agencies in their efforts to apprehend the culprits.
Furthermore, Governor Otti ordered the traders to resume their business activities and assured them of the presence of security personnel to protect them.
