His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti reaffirmed his dedication to the revitalization of Aba City in Abia State, vowing to usher in an era of world-class infrastructure during his tenure. This commitment was articulated during his address at the commissioning of Cemetery Road in Aba, one of three roads inaugurated on this remarkable occasion, along with Shalom Road and Emelogu Road.

Governor Otti initiated his speech by extending his sincere gratitude to the residents of Aba for their steadfast support and unwavering belief in his administration's vision. He acknowledged their resilience and unwavering commitment to the cause of progress, stating, "We appreciate your unwavering support, your unwavering determination as we navigate challenges, and your steadfast belief that change is imperative after decades of stagnation."

Furthermore, Governor Otti assured the citizens of Aba that he would spare no effort in delivering on their trust and expectations. In his words, "We will allocate all available resources to ensure that Aba undergoes a transformation in terms of infrastructure, social investment programs, and economic growth. You can trust that under my leadership, Aba will be rejuvenated with world-class infrastructure similar to what we are inaugurating today, coupled with social investment initiatives that will enhance its rich tradition of commerce and enterprise."

The Governor outlined his vision for Aba, which encompasses measures to foster wealth creation, stimulate economic and social progress, and entice private investors to leverage the city's abundant resources. He highlighted the pivotal role of ongoing road projects as catalysts for economic growth and emphasized the imminent completion of the Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway, which will further contribute to Aba's resurgence.

Governor Otti underscored that the commissioning of these roads was not a mere political gesture, but a call to those who had left Aba to return and an invitation to potential investors. He also unveiled ambitious plans for transport hubs, family-friendly recreational facilities, and ICT innovation parks throughout Aba, along with the development of a world-class hotel and conference center at the Enyimba Hotels location.

"Our goal is to transform Aba into a modern ecosystem capable of attracting and retaining talent in various fields, including business, ICT, housing, entertainment, and more. Our vision for Aba is comprehensive, and all we need is your unwavering support to achieve these ambitious goals."

In conclusion, Governor Otti assured residents of their security through the launch of a joint security task force aimed at curbing criminal activities and creating a conducive environment for commerce. He strongly condemned extortion and illegal practices within the market, pledging that those involved would be held accountable.

The Commissioner of Works, government appointees, and other dignitaries joined the Governor in the commissioning of these vital road projects, marking a significant milestone in the resurgence of Aba.
